The managers of a prison crammed with notorious criminals decide to organize a creepy kind of gladiatorial game in which they can earn a lot of money by forcing the inmates of the prison to fight each other. If the prisoners are charged with adrenaline, burning with the desire for violence, they are ready to go out into an arena and fight to the death with each other. Three-time championship-winning auto racer Jensen Ames (Jason Statham) has become an expert at surviving in a world of wild conditions. Ames, an ex-con artist, is jailed for a murder he didn't commit at a moment when he thought he was getting his life in order. Forced to wear the mask of the mystical driver Frankenstein, who is considered impossible to kill, Ames is given two options by the Prison's despotic administrator (Joan Allen): if he participates in the gladiator game, he will be freed, if he does not participate, he will be locked in a cell and left to rot there. Ames, whose face is covered with a metallic mask, tries to survive an extremely difficult death race that will continue for three days. During this time, he has to fight to the death against the most brutal prisoners in the world in order to get his freedom. Driving a car equipped with machine guns, flamethrowers and grenade launchers, this desperate man must destroy every obstacle and every person in front of him in order to win the world's wildest sport.
