Dr. Ryan Stone is a brilliant medical engineer and embarks on his first space voyage aboard the shuttle, led by talented and experienced astronaut Matt Kowalsky, who embarks on his last mission before retirement. While everything seems to be fine, disaster strikes during a routine expedition. The shuttle will shatter into pieces as a result of an object hitting it. Two scientists are left alone in the vacuum of space. Their communication with the earth is completely cut off and they are alone with eternal darkness. Now fear is replaced by panic, and their limited oxygen is running out. Will the two be able to find their way back home to the world?
