Tired of being the Lord of Hell, Lucifer (the devil) wants to leave the hell he ruled for the sake of the glorious and sparkling madness of Los Angeles and open a place called 'Lux' in this city and lead a mortal life. But his brother Amenadiel (angel) and father (god) do not leave him alone. Working with Detective Chloe Decker, whom he met on Earth with his assistant Maze (the demon), he catches criminals and deals with his own family problems.
