Hugh Jackman plays Charlie Kenton, an exhausted fighter who lost his chance to win a title when 2.5-metre-tall, 900-pound robots entered the ring. Charlie, now a small-time promoter, has to make ends meet by building shoddy scrap metal robots to get from one underground boxing ring to the next. When Charlie hits rock bottom, he reluctantly teams up with his estranged son, Max (Dakota Goyo), to make and train a championship contender. As things get serious in this unrestricted arena, Charlie and Max get one last chance to come back, against all odds. “Steel Fists” is the story of a former boxer who, despite all the obstacles, gets one last chance to return, teaming up with his estranged son Max (Dakota Goyo) to train him as a perfect competitor to the technologically advanced sport of robot boxing.
