"Suicide Squad" is a superhero film based on the DC Comics antihero team of the same name. The movie was released in 2016 and directed by David Ayer. It is part of the DC Extended Universe (DCEU).

The squad must work together, despite their differences and personal agendas, to save the world from destruction and to earn their freedom.

"Suicide Squad" received mixed reviews from critics but was a commercial success, grossing over $700 million worldwide. The film's portrayal of Harley Quinn, in particular, received praise, leading to the character's further development in subsequent DCEU films, such as "Birds of Prey" (2020) and "The Suicide Squad" (2021).
