The film will tell what happens after a successful lawyer, played by Downey, returns to his hometown for his mother's funeral. The lawyer, who is not on good terms with his father, will encounter his forgotten roots and his father again as he investigates whether his Alzheimer's patient father is connected to the death of a man whose case he had dealt with years ago.
